Two suspects were seen taking several items of men's clothing from the Bloomfield Township TJ Maxx store on Saturday, February 1. Bloomfield Township police responded around 4:45 p.m. to a report of a retail fraud at the store located at 2139 Telegraph Road. The store manager reported that two males had come into the store, selected several items of men's clothing and then left through a rear exit without paying. The manager said the two suspects were seen getting into a dark red or purple GMC Suburban with a Michigan license plate CLE 3895, which police said registered out of the city of Pontiac. Bloomfield Township police report the case is currently under investigation. |
| Wendy Williams Apologizes for Saying Gay Men Shouldn't Wear Women's Clothes - TMZ Posted: 14 Feb 2020 07:50 AM PST Wendy Williams is saying sorry for comments she made on her Thursday show, which were hurtful to the LGBTQ+ community ... and vows to do better. The talk show host has been taking heat after she did a segment on Galentine's Day that turned controversial when she went off on gay men planning to celebrate the unofficial holiday ... because she felt it's a women-only occasion. Wendy said, "I don't care if you're gay. You don't get a [menstruation] every 28 days ... you can do a lot that we do, but I get offended by the idea that we go through something you will never go through." That was contentious enough, but then she added ... "And stop wearing our skirts and our heels" and suggested women don't have anything for themselves anymore. Wendy's taking it back now, saying she didn't realize how she came across until she re-watched herself ... but promises she didn't mean to cause any harm, and never does the show in a place of malice. Williams says she was just trying to have a conversation, but she understands now she may have been "out of touch" Thursday and says she will learn from it. Aside from a failed attempt at using "bon vivant" in her apology, it's pretty clear she wants to make it up to the community and move forward. |
| RompHim, clothing company for men, is closing shop - WTSP.com Posted: 13 Feb 2020 07:36 PM PST It was supposed to shatter gender norms and turn the fashion world upside down. Instead, two years after RompHim debuted on the scene, offering jumpsuit-style clothing for men, the clothing company is shutting down. "It has been an amazing run, but the time has come to close the doors on RompHim," the company announced in a statement. "There are few things in the world quite like building something from scratch. In our case, we got to take an idea - an idea that most people told us was ridiculous - and turn it into a business. When we started out, we said we just wanted to use fashion to try to bring some more joy and self-expression into the world. In the end we managed to do just that ... and had some fun and learned some stuff along the way." The company was the first to debut a male-focused romper design, a clothing style that had become popular in women's fashion. Though the company was the only one with the "RompHim" name, the term soon became the common way to refer to the clothing piece. The jumpsuits have completely sold out on the website, after being marked down 75 percent.
